The Office for the Development of Cooperation (ODCO) is preparing to launch a digital platform dedicated to cooperatives, an initiative that is part of the digitalization strategy for the social and solidarity economy sector. This project involves the design, development, and launch of a national marketplace dedicated to cooperatives.

According to sources consulted by TelQuel, the company Proxisoft has been selected to develop this platform, which is expected to transform the way cooperative products are showcased and marketed.

According to our sources, this marketplace, accessible in both web and mobile versions, will be officially launched before December 10, 2025. In the first phase, the ODCO will integrate 250 pilot cooperatives before gradually expanding the platform to more than 1,100 structures.

This initiative reflects the ODCO’s intention to “modernize distribution channels and strengthen the visibility of cooperative products, in a context marked by the growing importance of digital tools and the need to adapt economic models,” according to the Office.

The Moroccan cooperative sector, which includes more than 60,000 active structures in agriculture, crafts, and services, “represents a pillar of the social and solidarity economy.” The stated goal is to “reduce dependence on intermediaries, increase the marketing of products in national and international markets, and enhance the identity and quality of the Moroccan cooperative model,” according to the same source.

But the upcoming marketplace is not limited to a simple showcase. It will integrate digital storytelling tools to highlight the intangible capital of cooperatives, including their histories, expertise, and local roots. It will also offer a personalized user experience, management indicators to help cooperatives guide their production, as well as features for traceability and the promotion of eco-responsible practices.

The ODCO also aims to make this platform a driver of internationalization. With multilingual tools, adapted logistics, and diversified payment methods, Moroccan cooperatives will be able to position themselves in new markets. According to the Office, this approach is in line with the New Development Model, which identifies the social and solidarity economy as a lever for inclusive and sustainable growth.
