We are looking for a skilled Freelance Proofreader and Editor to join TelQuel team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong command of the English language. This role involves proofreading and editing articles that have been translated from French to English, ensuring they are clear, concise, and free of errors.

Responsibilities:

• Proofread and edit articles translated from French to English ;
• Ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency in language and style ;
• Correct grammatical, spelling, punctuation, and typographical errors ;
• Maintain the original meaning and tone of the articles ;
• Collaborate with TelQuel team to resolve any discrepancies or ambiguities ;

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a proofreader or editor, preferably in a news or media environment ;
• Good command of the English language, including grammar, punctuation, and style ;
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines ;
• Attention to detail and a meticulous approach to work ;
• Familiarity with French is a plus but not mandatory.
