Marsa Maroc to manage port terminals in Benin

Marsa Maroc has been awarded the delegated management contract for Terminals 1 and 5 at the Port of Cotonou, granted to Bénin Manutentions S.A., following an international selection process, according to a press release form the company.

Marsa Maroc has been notified of its selection as the successful bidder for the delegated operation of Terminals 1 and 5 at the Port of Cotonou, Benin, following an international selection procedure led by Bénin Manutentions S.A, according to a press release of the company published July 16th.  An operating agreement will be signed between the two parties shortly.

Within the partnership, Bénin Manutentions S.A. will be supported by Marsa Maroc for the commissioning and operation of the two Terminals. « Marsa Maroc will ensure that the Terminals are commissioned on time, in line with international standards, and that a program of modernization projects is implemented, in accordance with the Beninese government’s vision »,  note Marsa Maroc in the press release.

This partnership is part of the South-South cooperation strategy driven by King Mohammed VI and is inline with Marsa Maroc ambition to develop its business internationally acccording to the new “Marsa 2030” strategy.
