    1. be a man of integrity. Be a man who fights to uphold the rule of law, and then you have the right to criticize the bearded ones. Most of the bearded ones are not very well educated, so when they do things that don’t make sense, I get it. What is your excuse? What have you done personally to help bring accountability and the rule of law to Morocco? Have you ever helped anybody get justice? How many orphans do you feed? When is the last time you visited a hospital to play with a sick child? Maybe we, as Moroccans should stop throwing stones and instead start gathering up the stones to build houses. It is easy to complain and make fun, how about taking responsibility and making our country better?

      1. If you want to protect Islam, why focus on something so silly? Why not talk about how Alcohol and Prostitution are technically illegal in Morocco – and yet…. how about Corruption? It is like seeing a man cross the street to murder a family and then being upset that he jaywalked! Priorities people… priorities!

  • The gift that keeps on giving!
Another perfect exemple of how suicidal some morons can be. As long as they are right, they are willing to throw centuries old theology under the bus. Good luck governing with those people and getting any kind of compromise or consensus.

      1. The intellectual suicide is the saddest of them all.
When I watch this video I see one culprit, the imposter imam. Not the back up one and sure as hell not the people who filmed this circus and abstained from participating in this charade.
Poor judgement, to say the least, is never in short supply with today’s self appointed custodian of the Islamic religion. Would it have killed him to go back and pray alone at home or in a park that one time , and next day pick a different mosque till his favorite imam comes back from his trip. What’s more important the sanctity of one of the pillars of Islam or catering to the preferences of the selfish few?
I think it’s time to put responsibility where it truly belongs in this case and stop the side arguments.

        1. The responsibility is nowhere. Nothing really happened. Who cares if someone else decided to lead the prayers? So what? The killer is that a big deal is made about this, while really big issues, like Corruption deciding EVERY SINGLE case that goes before EVERY SINGLE judge in Morocco in EVERY SINGLE business related/Check fraud/non violent crime. Why not act on that? That strikes me as far more important. How about simply auditing the Religious ministry to see how many of the stores built next to mosques are owned by relatives of people who work for the Ministry of Religion? How about checking to see how much is spent on trips?

It is amazing that Morocco conveniently chooses to call itself a Muslim country, and yet Mosques close promptly 5 minutes after the prayers are done. Bars are open all night, even though Alcohol consumption is technically illegal for Muslims in Morocco. Simply pathetic.

    1. Maybe you should try doing something to improve Morocco instead of just making fun of the bearded ones? The bearded ones are easy to make fun of, they lack real education for the most part. What is your excuse? What will you do tomorrow to make sure that you are a good example to your children? Will you promise to never lie again? Never offer a police officer a bribe in lieu of a ticket? Never speed? Never speak on the phone while driving? When you live in a glass house, you should not throw stones.

You pseudo intellectual Francophones really kill me – always making fun of religious people and then pretending you are religious when the opportunity presents itself.

Being a good Muslim is between you and God. Nobody has the right to tell anyone how they should be. Yet…

        1. This is not personally directed at you. It is a more general comment – Islam is a beautiful thing. When an idiot does something idiotic, you call him an idiot, you don’t call him a Muslim Idiot. You guys, especially the Francophones, you don’t see it – they are getting you to be ashamed of your own religion through your own usage of language.

When a priest molests a child you don’t see Christian child molester, you see child molester…. when a Rabii steals money or cheats on his taxes, you don’t see Jewish man cheats on taxes or steals money do you? Yet when someone who self identifies with Islam does something that is completely against Islam, you guys allow people and join in calling them bearded ones or Islamist.

If we want to regain our honor as Muslims and Moroccans, first we have to take back these words. NEVER use Islamist – unless you create a positive meaning for it. Never use Terrorist, because it is a loaded word.

Be aware of the language you use.

We are not now talking about  »How to be a good muslim  » , we all know it but may of us really did (It’s off topic) but what I can add is : being a Good Muslim isn’t just between you and God , be aware because this phrase is always said by laïc … Et puis pour les barbus et les voilées que j’ai abordé á la fin de mon commentaire , ce n’était qu’un simple rappel de ceux qui salissent notre Islam (pour des raisons comme pour d’autres ) pas tous , j’y m’en conviens mais on ne pourra pas nier qu’ils en existent et qui à cause d’eux les vrais barbus et voilées affrontent de sérieux problèmes , it wasn’t said to make fun of bearded or veiled absolutely Not . All what you have said is right , but it wasn’t our theme .. Islam is the Best thing ever

          2. Brother, I assure you that I am 100% Moroccan. I think that perhaps there may have been something of a misunderstanding, and for that I apologize. It just kills me that in Morocco, people focus on the silliest things, and forget about the really important things.

So the guy led his own set of prayers in the mosque – so what? Is it really that big a deal? I am much more concerned with Judges taking bribes on every single Business case that hits the courts – I do not mean a majority, I mean EVERY single case is NOT decided on the merits, but instead by who gives what to the Judges broker in some seedy hotel bar or who calls who before a verdict is rendered.

I am also much more concerned with the out of control, rampant corruption that takes place in all of the ministries, particularly at the ministry of religion. When is the last time an audit was done? It is not very hard. All you have to do is look at the stores built around all of the mosques in Morocco and review the ownership records. Once you do that, you will find that a vast majority of the people who got the stores around mosques, were directly related (family) to people who work at the Ministry of Religion.

In fact, simple actions like this can be used to discover large scale corruption in all of the ministries – but nobody wants to be bothered with doing things that will actually make the country better – instead they want to focus on non-issues, like two groups of people praying in the same mosque.

  • The reason that Morocco is an open air prison where all the youth dream only of escaping to Europe or Canada to be treated with Justice and respect is because of this silliness.

Who cares if there are two imams in a mosque? Does it really matter?

Isn’t the fact that the Ministry of Religion, though the richest ministry by far NOT open their books to the public, NOT publish the names of the people who own the stores around the mosques, NOT publish the rents being paid by the stores, and essentially claim that they can’t keep mosques open because prayer rugs and Korans will get stolen – and yet they have more money at their disposal than any other ministry!

How about focusing on stuff that is really important? How about focusing on the Judiciary, where every single case is decided before it gets to court, based upon how much of a bribe is given to the Judges broker? How about tackling the out of control corruption, Nepotism and complete injustice that are a daily reality for most people in Morocco?

You want to be Muslim, fine. You want to be a Kafir, fine – that is your business, but shouldn’t the country of Morocco be a country where the rule of law has some meaning?

Alcohol is sold in all of the supermarkets by Muslim check out clerks to Muslim men, and yet it is illegal in Morocco for Muslim men to drink, purchase or sell alcohol! Prostitution is of course illegal, yet citizens have video of law enforcement giving protection to some foreigners, aka sex tourists accused of indulging.

Hash is illegal in Morocco, everyone knows where it grow – young kids and individuals who try to move a kilo or two are arrested for selling it, while hundreds of tons are exported every year.

Don’t we have more important issues facing our country? Pathetic.

  • SUBHANALLAH WE HAVE THE BEST DEEN BUT WE (MUSLIMS) STILL ARE THE MOST
